Course Learning Objectives/Outcomes

By the end of the course, the Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist will be able to:
-Explain under what circumstances does the therapist communicate information regarding bodily injury to a potential victim.
-Describe the timeliness procedure for presenting requested records
-Explain under what circumstances the licensed health care practitioner shall inform a patient or individual about adverse incidents.
-Describe the limit that no officer, employee, or person under contract with the department, or any board therein, or any subject of an investigation shall convey knowledge or information to any person who is not lawfully entitled to such knowledge.
-Explain the natural disasters and emergencies procedure, if the health care practitioner indicates he or she could assist the department in the event of a natural disaster.
-Explain the definition of sexual misconduct by a psychotherapist.
-Describe the multiple factors determining whether the psychotherapist-client relationship has terminated.
